Antidote :: Week 2 :: David Griffin

The scripture teaches that all of life is lived from the heart. But, as most people know, the heart can be a very dark place...a place where unhealthy emotions morph into relational cancers. Left to their own patterns, these cancers will grow strong, spread fast, and eventually take over the fertile soil of our heart. Fortunately, scripture provides us with an ANTIDOTE for each of these malignant emotional cancers. In this series, we will be looking at how these ANTIDOTES will help us to re-gain healthy hearts and re-discover real life.

Celebrity :: Randy Wade

Our culture is more focused on gaining celebrity than any other culture before us. Whether you are talking about the endless barrage of reality shows or the people who are willing to stand outside a studio in New York City in freezing temperatures to get caught waving on national television, our society is obsessed with gaining their 15 minutes of fame. The problem with 15 minutes of fame is simple: it only lasts for 15 minutes.

All too often we celebrate the wrong things. When we make much of ourselves, we rob ourselves of the opportunity to make much of the one thing that lasts forever: God.

You can be a really bad singer on American Idol and find a fan base that will stick with you for a little while. You can win a Super Bowl and be a celebrity in the eyes of a relatively small number of people for a season. So why do we spend so much time on gaining something that won't stick? Because we celebrate "us" more than we celebrate "Him."

God, who left the majesty and perfection of heaven to redeem His creation, loves you. You read it correctly....He loves you in-spite of your incessant desire to make much of you, your team, your job, your family and your future. He loves you the way you are which isn't something other people are generally willing to do. In our opinion that makes Him the real celebrity.

We hope to see you on Sunday as we celebrate the only true celebrity we've ever really known and invite you to join us as we strive to make Him famous...

One of our core values at c|Life Church is "Authentic Community". Most people long to be connected to others in a real and meaningful way but few really take the necessary steps to cultivate those things in their daily lives. In this stand alone message, we will explore ways that our ministry is seeking to promote community and healthy relationships. When it comes to "Authentic Community" you may well find that you don't even know what you are missing!

Confessions of a Pastor :: Week 3 :: Paul McDill

The dawn of a new year always brings about the optimist in people. Everything that we failed to accomplish in the previous year finds it's way back into our minds. That which was a failure on December the 31st mysteriously transforms into a goal on January 1st! We call them resolutions because we have purposefully "resolved" in our minds that this year will be different. For most of us the problem isn't the goal but rather our awareness of the real problem. Many times we treat the symptoms rather than dealing with the real issue. This leads us to modify our behavior but rarely addresses what is at the core: the condition of our heart.

Grace Has A Name :: Week 2 :: David Griffin

2000 years ago the world heard a little baby cry...that was the greatest gift that God ever sent. Far from typical this child was not only the Son of God but the actual manifestation of Grace in our world. God has always been merciful and gracious but the arrival of Jesus is the crown jewel of the divine story. In this series we will take a look at how this Christmas we can encounter this "grace" anew.
